San Diego's unemployment rate continues to impact many

SAN DIEGO – In August 2025, San Diego reached a 5% unemployment rate, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The last time the city reached a high unemployment rate was in April 2020, when the rate was 15.8% according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
